End of the Year Celebrations!

November and December have been busy months in the LPK classrooms as we carry on the traditions that we have enjoyed in our preschool for decades.

November was an exploration of the friendship between the Plymouth Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Tribe. At the start of November, our Four-Year-Olds began working on their Native American t-shirts. We dyed, painted and beaded the shirts in the ways the Wampanoag Tribe may have. Our preschoolers also use their fine motor skills to cut out pieces of paper to make a turkey placement. These placemats were used during our Thanksgiving Day Feast when we invited family to come in and share in the tasting of baked treats we made. Many of these recipes become traditional desserts in our family’s Thanksgivings.

November quickly turned to December where our Three and Four-Year Olds became busy elves making ornaments and crafts in Santa’s Workshop. Throughout the month we worked on making a special gift for the special grown-ups in their lives.
